How to organise your wedding ceremony

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Elaine Searle and I am a Commonwealth-authorised Civil Marriage Celebrant. In addition to marriage ceremonies I also perform Namings, Re-affirmation and Commitment Ceremonies. I live on Sydney’s northern beaches but am happy to officiate at marriages throughout Sydney city and metropolitan areas as well as the , the Blue Mountains.
My ceremonies are friendly, relaxed, formal or informal ceremonies in keeping with your wishes for your wedding day.
All ceremonies, large or small, are treated with the same professionalism and are all very special.

The initial interview to lodge the Notice of Intended Marriage, and to discuss wedding day plans, can be held at a location convenient to you, your home, office, or you can visit me if preferred. The Notice of Intended Marriage must be lodged at least one month and a day and no longer than eighteen months before your wedding day. Please remember to bring originals or certified copies of your birth certificates and the relevant documents if you have been divorced or widowed. If you do not have these documents at the time of lodgement of the NOIM, they can be sighted by me at any time before the wedding ceremony.

You can choose from a range of sample ceremonies, readings & special ceremonies and  with your input, I can compose a personalised ceremony which is uniquely your own.

A second interview is held just prior to the wedding day to finalise the ceremony and to ensure that the chosen ceremony meets with your requirements and satisfaction. You will also both need to sign a Declaration of No Legal Impediment before the wedding but this can be done on the day if necessary.
