Victoria and Michael chose
Gunners Barracks for their late afternoon ceremony and evening reception in March. It's a wonderful venue with the restored sandstone military building on a superb harbourside site. They wanted a simple ceremony with their closest family and friends present. We held the ceremony in the lovely courtyard and then they moved to the terrace and restaurant for the reception after. Sarah and Stephen of
Mint Photography were great to work with as usual, and they came up with some lovely, stylish photos. I loved working with Victoria and Michael on their simple, but individual ceremony. Their choice of readings was unique - firstly Elizabeth Barrett Browning's sonnet, "How Do I Love Thee?" was read and then, after their vows, five quotations about marriage which had been hidden under 5 seats, were read by the guest who found the quote under their seat. One which got a good laugh was A.P. Herbert's "The conception of two people living together for 25 years without having a cross word suggests a lack of spirit only to be admired in sheep."
All relationships include differences of opinion, but of course, a strong marriage is built through having the strategies to work through any problems.

| I loved Victoria's gown which was simple and elegant and suited her perfectly. |
I wish this couple many years of happiness, love, joy and mutual support.
